Students will learn the basics of pixel art and discover what makes this iconic style so visually unique. Then, using pre-prepared “Creeper” canvases, we’ll get busy and creative!
Using acrylic paint, students will paint their own designs while applying new skills in colour, shading, and pattern.
A perfect blend of gaming and art, this class encourages creativity, personal expression, and an understanding of digital-age inspired design.
All materials are provided, however, you may bring your own sketchbook, pencils, eraser and sharpener.
Parents: Aprons are provided as some activities can be messy; please dress your students appropriately, thank you! You are welcome to arrive 10-15 minutes before the class begins.
Cam Miles is a professional animator who has worked on shows such as Fireman Sam and Caillou (2024), specializing in character design work and holds a degree in Visual Arts from Sheridan College.
