You need a good reference photo for each canvas. Look for light shadow and colour. Everyone works on their own subject. You can enlarge your photo to the exact size of the canvas at Staples ahead of the class.
Black and white is all that is required. Brenda will offer guidance to transfer the subject on to your canvas. You can also freehand your drawing and she is available to assist with this method.
This course is a low-stress, fun introduction to the medium, with an emphasis on building confidence and enjoying the process.
Brenda Loschiavo’s love of oil painting has taken her to many exciting countries and allowed her to have her paintings in collections in Europe and US.
Her greatest joy is someone falling in love with one of her paintings and of course passing her knowledge along to her students. She is looking forward to introducing oil to new people who always wanted to try.
Following the intro course she will teach an all level class to those who wish to deepen their skills.
