In this class, students learn how to take apart, clean and troubleshoot airbrushes, how to use different mediums, how to properly handle and use an airbrush, how to use stencils to create effective designs, and how to free-hand and shade with confidence and an airbrush.

Double-action Airbrush, in working condition. Iwata Revolution or Iwata Eclipse will be available for purchase.
Compressor, if you own one. There is limited availability to use the studio’s compressor.

About Kara Gilbey
Kara was introduced to airbrushing while working with a community theatre production of CATS. She created and designed all the young actors make up and trained volunteers to correctly apply makeup with an airbrush. Designing and airbrushing the bodysuit costumes for the actors included deep experience on mixing and creating paints . Today, Kara operates a face painting, airbrush tattoos, and stencil making business.
