This course encourages a deeper investigation into colour and its fundamental role in laying down emotion and feeling in your paintings.
You will engage in a variety of painting exercises based on the elements and principles of art.
You will spend most of your time working on your own paintings. Discussion and feedback, in a supportive environment, will enhance your learning experience.
Beginners are welcome!
9” x 12” Canvas pad for exercises
Canvas size of your choice based on the subject

Synthetic and Bristle – Flat 1/4”, 1/2”, 1”
Synthetic and Bristle – Filbert 1/4”, 1/2”, 1”
2” brush for washes
Acrylic or Oil Paints

Cadmium red

Lemon yellow
Ultra-marine blue
Titanium white
Mars black
Yellow ochre
Alizarin crimson

Stephanie is an established multi-Disciplinary visual artist with over 40 years of experience in portrait and figurative painting. Her ability as a multi-disciplinary artist enables her to focus more on leading and fostering students, whether privately or as groups, towards imagination and self-expression in her workshops.
Recently she is the recipient of the 2023 Marty Award, from the Mississauga Arts Council, for the category of Established Artist in Traditional form and her mentorship in the arts for Peel region.
