Work with gel prints and mixed media in this fun and explorative class with artist Deb Menken. In this workshop, you will complete small, mixed media abstract artworks using collage material they will create using a gel plate. Topics covered include gel printing techniques, harmonious colour, and composition.

Acrylic paints
Pack of cheap copy/printer paper
Any stamps or stencils you may have

Deb Menken is a mostly self -taught artist who loves to experiment and try new things. The subject matter is not the most important thing to her but rather the act of applying the paint to canvas and following the intuitive nudgings of "What happens if I do this?" She has learned to trust the nudgings, delight in the happy accidents and store up discoveries for future use. Deb enjoys encouraging and inspiring others to paint and not be afraid to make mistakes because really there are no mistakes, only learning opportunities.
