In this one day (6hrs) workshop students will explore watercolours extensively with lots of exercises, techniques and full paintings with lots of demos and one on one support. Together you will create three paintings: two small, and one large piece.

Students will:

• Explore 'How to simplify' (break down and design a complex scene), compose and sketch your painting

• Values in black and white

• Values in colour

• Light planes and building depth

• Evaluate colour choices and value massing

• Colour theory and colour mixing

• Plan and execute the three phases of the painting

• Learn to paint in set phases

• Add the accents and highlights
  

Students are responsible for their own art materials.
