In this course, work with either oils or acrylics to create a beautiful rendition of Georgia O’Keefe’s White Trumpet Flower painting with award-winning Canadian artist Michele Van Maurik. Regarded as a master of light, Michele breaks the painting process down into an approachable, step by step method which makes painting flowers fun and easy for artists of any skill level. Learn about blending, masking, stencilling and proportions as you create your very own floral painting in our bright studio space.

Brushes: bristle filberts several of each size, size 4, 6, 8
Simply Simmons oval wash brush ½” and ¾” size            
Murphys oil soap or brush cleaner

Grey matters pallet paper or palette 

Light grey pastel pencil (Derwent or conte)

Liquin or Walnut alkyd medium
Odourless mineral spirits or gamsol 
If using acrylics, retarder medium and Stay-wet palette
