In this engaging class you will have the opportunity to add to your oil painting skills and techniques more effectively through the exploration of brush work, paint application, colour mixing, composition and design. 

Stephanie will lead you through a variety of subject matter from real life to photo references, such as landscape, still life, floral and abstract in order to create paintings that have a fresh off the palette feel; all in a relaxed and fun painting studio environment! 

What a great way to get creative during the spring and summer seasons!

Canvas paper pad 8x10 or 9x12
2 Canvas boards or stretched canvas 9x12

Gesso

Disposable paint palette, rags and paper towel

Hogs Hair – Flat #4 to #8
Synthetic – Flat #2 to #8

Mineral Spirits
Odorless Mineral Spirits (1000ml)
Linseed Oil (500ml)

Oil Colours
Cadmium red medium
Cadmium yellow medium
Ultra- Marine blue
Titanium white
Ivory black
Raw umber
Yellow Ochre
Burnt Umber

Other Equipment
3x medium glass jars used for cleaning brushes, thinning paint & Linseed oil
2x Large glass jars filled with lentils or dry beans to keep wet brushes from touching each other.
